| Description of event | The landscape surrounding Big Dog forest is truly amaziing and the forest itelf is steeped in naturla antiquites and folklore, having been the focus of much of Finn McCool activities!. Walkers will have an opportunity to experience these features up-close but, will also learn more about the wildlife in this beautiful forest, find out about what is happening beneath their feet, and discover how it has helped to influence not only the types of plants that grow there but also helped to shape the surrounding countryside. The walk will be approximately 3 miles (4.1km) in duration. |
